Biography
Mr Baba Dioum is the General Coordinator of the Conference of Ministers of Agriculture of West and Central Africa. He also serves as Team Leader of CAADP Pillar II on Market Access. With his different functions, he has vast experience in agricultural and food and nutrition security policy formulation, setting up databases and information systems on food security policies, trade policies (particularly at the regional level), and identification of information needs for public decision makers. Mr. Dioum has served on several boards, including that of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and the International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) He was a founding member of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and the International Council for Environmental Law, as well as the Director of the Agricultural Policy Unit of the Senegalese Ministry of Agriculture. Since October 2012, Mr. Dioum has been chairman of the FSIN advisory board.
