WFP mobile Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping has launched a Remote Food Security Monitoring online course

Collecting primary data on households’ food security can be challenging, time consuming and costly ‒ particularly in areas with limited humanitarian access. Remote data collection is a flexible and efficient way to collect food security information and it allows for frequent food security monitoring in unstable areas without putting the enumerators at risk.

WFP's mobile Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping (mVAM) has therefore produced an open online course to explain how to use their techniques. The course aims to give a clear understanding of what remote food security monitoring entails, when it is a useful tool, and how to implement a remote food security monitoring project. e course is free and can be accessed by anyone interested in setting up a remote data collection project.
